Bahahaa, in the back of my mind, I've been thinking the Wii U as the Nintendo Dreamcast.
Who knows though, I'm hearing sources from big time developers saying their prediction for this next gen systems will all have it rough. Keep in mind, they all must now compete with Android/iOS gaming on tablets/cells and other new arrivals. There are some hella surprising new free-2-play fps for tablets. Not up to par to next gen graphics but progressively improving each year or season!

Yeah, the big three are shooting themselves in the foot trying to force DLC on console owners, seriously, if I was in love with the idea of non-tangible product, I'd buy an Ouyo or similar Dedicated DLC gaming interface. Heck, I don't even use Steam, only have an account on it because a PC game that I bought a physical copy installed it without my consent and then required me to make an account to play my entirely legal physically owned game... which it didn't even then because it said the game's activation code had already been used. Total waste.

I'm hesitant to make any comparissons between the Wii U and my beloved Dreamcast. Sega actually made an effort to provide great games and user friendly hardware... and those reasons alone just killed any chance of the Wii U from being on par with the Dreamcast. :)

Yup! I hear game commentators say developers are shooting themselves on the foot by forcing those lame micro transactions on games. Just look at Dead Space 3, I hear its good but reviews mention the game pesters you into considering in game purchases. I hate that, and it turns out that game didn't sell well (to their expectations). I detest the thought of DLC being released on day-one game release. It literally screams content that should have already been in the game... especially how ppl discovered locked assets on game discs that developers wanted it as "DLC" *ahem* 2K on Bioshock 2. You know what, ppl will have a say on this... with their wallets!

I can see the Wii U failing, honestly. No one really seems to care about it or talk about it. It's out for a while now but in local stores it's not as prominently displayed as the Xbox 360 and the PS3, and those are 7-year old consoles!

Most people I know don't even know about it.

I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because the original Wii was so new and innovative at the time that this one doesn't impress that much.

Meanwhile, the PS4 doesn't do much new except for better graphics and a new controller. They just had to show me this to get me all amped up about the next generation, and I'm not even a Playstation fan.

I also can't wait what Microsoft will show us on the 20th with the new Xbox.
